I've been using it for about two and a half months now, but it's stopped connecting to the internet. I'm using the standard Wi-Fi adapter that came with my Gigabyte B550 Elite AX V2 REV 1.5, which worked before. I don't know what's causing this issue. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I understand this might seem straightforward, but I want to confirm whether you're asking about a full restart versus simply turning off and back on.

I rebooted the network adapter while it was connecting, then restarted via Windows, and I’ve also reset it myself.

I can't display or send screenshots directly. However, you can open Device Manager on your computer and expand the network adapters section to view their details.

Examine the device manager. Verify if A) it appears, B) if there’s an indication of a problem. If a concern is shown, I’d attempt to download the most recent drivers from another machine, remove the existing ones and install the updated versions. Regarding drivers, I’d check both the motherboard manufacturer’s site and the chipset makers’ site. For instance, Intel releases many cards with their own driver support. I’d also search for older drivers, as sometimes newer ones cause issues. Consult your motherboard manual—many built-in WiFi adapters are M.2 cards that may be concealed under shielding near antenna connections. I’d remove the card and reinstall it. Occasionally, simply reseating components resolves the problem.

From what I understand, there seems to be no hardware issue—I updated the drivers for onboard Wi-Fi roughly ten days ago. I’d like to know more about the M.2 setup and how to locate it before proceeding further.

M.2 slots with a key are used for WiFi. They’re similar to those found in laptops. The M.2 chip is likely near the I/O shield, probably covered by some protection, but it should be removable. Due to recent updates from Microsoft, driver problems might still exist. New drivers aren’t always ideal, and older ones can sometimes help. Also, chips from the motherboard maker may not be the latest—checking the chipset supplier is often necessary, possibly Realtek. Look for both new and older drivers, as they can sometimes fix compatibility issues.

You've just updated the driver for your Gigabyte Mobo and Wi-Fi, and everything is working again! Thanks!
