Based on my knowledge, it's typical for an (AM4) motherboard to accommodate 16GB DIMMs. For instance, the B450 Tomahawk MAX supports this configuration. Using four 16GB DIMMs would give you 64GB total, while a single 32GB DIMM would provide the same capacity.
