Currently the router isn't linked through Ethernet. Since it's configured as a Wi-Fi hotspot, it likely replicates the existing network. I'll check if disabling router features works in the morning. This configuration seems acceptable.

You had to configure it as a WiFi repeater, which might also clarify why a cable connection fails in that setting. The device likely expects wired clients to connect via WiFi, or those ports might be turned off. It should operate in Access Point mode to allow cable links to your main router. A designated port may be required for the uplink, and you should confirm that detail. I attempted to use an Honor Router as an Access Point but it behaved oddly compared to typical consumer models. It only lets one specific port connect back to the router/LAN, preventing wired devices from joining the LAN. WiFi functioned generally but imposed client isolation and broadcast filtering, which probably blocked access to my Plex server, smart lights, and network shares without entering the correct hostname. That’s why I switched to a dedicated Access Point.
