Device Cannot Link To Encrypted Networks
Hello! Your wireless adapter isn't linking to password-protected networks except through your phone's mobile hotspot. Windows seems to get stuck, showing errors like "password incorrect" or "connection failed." The adapter model is an Intel® Wireless-AC 9560. Assistance would be greatly appreciated!
Have you downloaded the necessary software? Intel® Wireless Wi-Fi Drivers for Windows® 10 and Windows 11*
Could you clarify the network you're attempting to join? What standard is it using—such as Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n), Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), or Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax)? Are you employing WPA, WPA2, or WPA3 encryption? Have you updated the drivers for your adapter? It seems likely the adapter doesn't fully support the network type, or the password includes characters that may cause issues. For a basic start, try setting a simple password without special symbols and see if it works.
Another issue occurred recently with a vintage laptop using an Intel AC 9260 (end-of-life). It seemed neighbors' Wi-Fi signals were visible but not my own. The only recent adjustment was updating access points in the house. I maintained the original network name, password, and security settings. Removing the drivers via Device Manager and reinstalling the latest working Intel PROSet drivers resolved the problem.
