I acquired this machine a few months back and faced some issues, but they resolved themselves, so I didn’t pay much attention. Now it’s happening again. Generally, when I use my computer, the screen will suddenly turn black for a brief moment, then return to normal, leaving the window dark. Hovering the mouse over everything only brings back the buttons, forcing me to close and reopen whatever I’m working on. Occasionally, when the monitor shuts down and the computer tries to sleep, it emits five short beeps, pauses briefly, and then produces a faint, incomplete sound. Performance is also sluggish during these incidents, like Explorer.exe failing to launch quickly or the OS taking a long time to respond.
System details: OS - Windows 11 Pro, CPU - Ryzen 5 5500, GPU - Sapphire PULSE Radeon RX 6600, RAM - OLOy OWL DDR4-3000 MHz, Mobo - ASRock B450M Steel Legend SSD, Power Supply - HP S700 Pro 1TB, PSU - EVGA 650W, non-modular. All drivers and software are current. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
It seems your video driver might be experiencing problems. After the issue occurs, reviewing Event Viewer can help identify any critical errors related to the drivers. If the GPU is malfunctioning, it should also appear in the Event Log. Things like your monitor or cable connections are unlikely to show up there. Additionally, any issues with your chair won’t be reflected in Event Viewer.
It just occurred once more, and the viewer flagged this issue. I attempted to use the monitor and cable on another machine, which functioned properly for several days. (I checked this some time back)
