Considering these rates, it would really be better if I didn’t say anything. My friends are getting high-speed wireless connections from routers far away, which is frustrating. I’m confused why my own Wi-Fi speed is so much lower than what I expect—my PC only picks up 30MBPS while I see 300MBPS. Are there any antennas I can buy to improve this? Honestly, I’d be happy if I could get closer to the full 512MBPS promised.

The built-in motherboard provides Wi-Fi, possibly via the main PCIe slot. Add-in cards or USB devices aren’t the primary source.

Took some time last night working on it, managed to locate some old computer antennas and fit them in. Now I’m getting about 180mbps wirelessly, which is fine. I might explore a better mesh network eventually, but for now I’m okay. Thanks for all the help!
