When attempting to launch Detroit: Become Human, you encounter a message stating that no compatible graphics card with Vulkan 1.1 is available. This issue often arises when using a laptop equipped with an APU and a dedicated GPU. While disabling the built-in graphics can resolve it temporarily, it requires manual adjustment each time you restart your device. Seeking alternative solutions or workarounds might help.

You're using a Lenovo IdeaPad gaming laptop equipped with a Ryzen 5 4600H and GTX 1650. It seems the system is attempting to utilize the CPU's integrated graphics, which probably doesn't support Vulkan.

Both should handle it smoothly using any compatible GPU driver. It’s possible the issue is related to in-game problems; you might want to search for switching the API to DirectX.

According to my research, this product is limited to Vulkan support and cannot be modified.

Have you experimented with the Nvidia Control Panel via Manage 3D Settings>Application Settings and instructing Detroit: Become Human to prioritize the 1650 over the APU? I don’t own a laptop equipped with an Nvidia GPU, though I recall my sister’s older machine used it to force Nvidia graphics in specific titles.

I also gave it a shot, but it didn't go through.

Mux switches are important. I'm facing the same problem on my 2021 Razer Blade14 with a Ryzen 5900 and an NVIDIA 3070. Simply telling the game to use the dedicated GPU isn't enough—the dedicated GPU still needs to send video through the IGPU/APU on my system. I think this feature is called Optimus. While I value the battery savings it provides during non-gaming sessions, this specific issue is really annoying because both the built-in Radeon IGPU and the 3070 are fully updated and support the latest Vulkan versions. QuanticDream needs a fix. Workaround: I can turn off the integrated graphics in Device Manager, but then my laptop's built-in screen shows low resolution or full brightness. I have to tweak settings manually each time I want to play this game, or switch to an external monitor (and still disable the Radeon driver if using HDMI).
