You can obtain one additional agent. Since you don’t have more than the basic ones unlocked, consider unlocking Chamber, Neon, Raze, Viper, Cypher, or another available option.
I enjoy choosing characters that seem the most enjoyable to play. I don’t usually play Valorant, but Rainbow Six Siege is my go-to, and I unlocked the ones I thought were the most fun.
In such games, characters tend to be fairly equal, so there isn't a standout one. As @fpo mentioned, pick what excites you the most to enjoy playing.
