He asked me to assist him in setting up a computer for Mastercam. I wondered if more cores would help or if faster cores would be better. In the end, it probably doesn’t really matter since he won’t earn much from it, at least not in the short term. I was thinking about options like an i5 10600k or a Ryzen 5 3600 with 32GB RAM and a decent GPU. I’m also unsure if Mastercam relies on the GPU for calculations or just for basic visuals. Your thoughts would be appreciated.
