You need to decide which partition to boot during startup. Check your bootloader settings or configuration files to select the correct partition (x, y, z) for Windows 3.1.

Open the BIOS settings and configure the desired boot partition as the main boot device. Ensure partitions appear as distinct drives within the system information.

Doesn't Grub identify Windows systems? (though that's a bit of a letdown, right?)

Grub is a bootloader that runs on the disk, initializing the system before the OS starts. It manages loading and starting operating systems.

The boot information section should clearly indicate the presence of multiple partitions. Ideally, updating the GRUB configuration file can help the system recognize additional systems on all drives.

I've set up archbang and am currently installing DOS to prepare for installing 3.1 on it.

Yes, I want to use ski free on a 115 SSD that came with me. It’s stored in an external drive case, so I can bring it to school and run it on either that device or the school’s PC using Linux.

Sorry if I might have overlooked something, but what exactly appears when you power on your computer through GRUB? Maybe you could capture a screenshot. ...I think there are some flash remakes of ski free, and it seems like a version for 32-bit Windows exists (which should also work with Wine) at http://ski.ihoc.net/
