Detecting update issue in Windows 10 related to GPO Office 16 installation. Please review the error details.
Hello everyone, I’m setting up a new computer for a fresh hire. It was previously reinstalled twice with Windows 10. Whenever I connect to the domain and attempt to check for updates, I encounter this error: “There were some problems installing updates, but we’ll try again later. If you keep seeing this and want to search the web or contact support for help, this may be useful: (0x80244022)”. I’ve removed it from the domain and checked for updates, but no issues appear. The main issue seems to be group policies for Office 2016 updates, which let the user profile connect to the Exchange server. Unless those updates run, the Outlook service can’t function properly. I’ve tried several fixes: removing and re-joining the domain multiple times, using “Gpupdate /force”, running Sfc scan now, Dism cleanup, and checking health. Nothing resolved the problem. I’m unsure if it’s a server-side group policy problem or a corrupted Windows system file issue. Please advise—can you help me verify or locate the source? We’re using Windows Server 2012.
