Keeping attempting to install ClipGrab from the official site, it keeps triggering security warnings. Defender blocks it, offering only quarantine or removal. It seems the file is flagged as potentially unwanted or malicious, even though it’s safe. You mentioned trying admin mode but the issue persists. Any suggestions on how to proceed?

The page on MS that Defender sends users to doesn<|pad|>, is clearly not very useful.

Under Actions you notice an option to dismiss the threat. EDIT: I attempted to download the file and run a scan with Defender, but it appears the file is accepting it. Updated June 10, 2022 by RockSolid1106

Under Actions it simply lists Quarantine and Remove. I haven't encountered this problem before.

I wouldn't choose this for your downloads folder. Perhaps create a different one. Have you attempted to tell Defender not to scan a folder? I've used some questionable methods that require that. I've also had to turn Defender off temporarily. Some programs would be quarantined right away when I enabled it. I'll share a quick story though—I've needed a fresh debit card a few times... maybe three times.

Thanks for the advice. I thought it through. I turned off virus and threat protection, but left app protection enabled. It worked without issues, and the computer is still functioning properly.
