Hello everyone, I’m looking at a Ryzen 5 3400G with a Gigabyte B450M S2H ultra durable board. My budget was really limited, so I wanted to know how well that CPU performs in upcoming games. Also, I’m curious—can my motherboard support a decent GPU? I remember reading that it only has 2GB of RAM, which makes me think about using a lower-end GPU. Thanks for your help!
ryzen 5 3400g is a solid processor and should manage upcoming titles well. the ram acts as your CPU's video memory for games. ram refers to video memory, not dedicated graphics cards. you're free to use any graphics card you prefer. mid-range options include the 1660 super (6gb ram) or the rx 5600 xt (6gb ram), which offers similar performance to the rtx 2060 at a slightly lower price. i’d keep an eye on new navi and nvidia releases later this year. what psi do you have? how much ram do you currently have? ram is used by games and higher quality games require more. a 2gb ram is insufficient for demanding, high-quality titles. if it runs out, the software will switch to your ram, which is much slower than ram.
Thanks for your help. Unfortunately, I don't have an external PSU and the case seller said it should be sufficient for my specs. I'll definitely get a good PCIe card if I purchase a GPU. I have 8 GB of RAM with dual channels (4+4). Could you check if my motherboard is suitable for future upgrades? Thanks for your time.
