Hello! I encountered this problem after updating to Creators Update. After reinstalling the PC, it started showing Creators Update immediately. Once I did a full clean install (just formatting the SSD), the issue reappeared. A video walks through everything. (Windows 10 1703 15063 296, i5 4690, Asrock motherboard performance mode, Gigabyte G1 GTX 960, 16 GB Kingston Fury RAM, 2x1280x1024 and 1x1920x1080 monitors; before reinstall I had only one 1280x1024 monitor) 250 GB Kingston 3K SSD, 1 TB WD Blue Zalman Z1 case. If you need anything else, just let me know.) I searched online but didn’t find a solution, sorry. I’m Hungarian and haven’t studied much in school yet. Thanks for your help! It worked after updating the creators version. You might need to adjust the icon size slightly to resolve the issue. Experimenting with Ctrl+Mouse wheel up/down can help.

It worked once before, but now it's happening again. I'm not sure what might be causing this.

I've encountered comparable problems; perhaps I'll acquire a new SSD during the holidays and perform a clean installation, which could be beneficial.

I began avoiding desktop icons after the tile start menu appeared. Much simpler desktop now.

I shared my experience on your YouTube channel, but I'm also posting here for others who might find it useful. I encountered the same problem after the Creator update. I navigated to the icon settings using the right-click menu, selected View, and adjusted the icon size. I tried enlarging it first, then reducing it, and finally set it to medium. It seemed to resolve the issue once I changed the size. I'm puzzled by this change, but it appears to have a logical effect. The icons now seemed to ignore their usual limits. After manually resetting through the settings, they stabilized. If this doesn't help, updating any apps that affect your desktop—especially icon managers—might be necessary. Feel free to reach out with questions or suggestions.

Thanks, kirksmithms, but sadly it doesn't function properly. As mentioned before, after a few days the problem reappears. I don't have any software that affects icons. Appreciate you, enderman—initially I wasn't sure, but that makes sense. Yes, the issue remains.
