Hey, I'm planning to purchase a new office PC for my dad. I'm considering AMD but wasn't sure if the Athlon 3000g is sufficient. He mainly uses it for checking emails, online banking, and copying CDs to his phone. Thanks for your assistance!

Sure, the 3000g should suffice. Please confirm you have two sticks of RAM (4GB each) and an SSD for a seamless performance. Honestly, for checking emails, a budget laptop would be enough.

The 3000g will easily fit a standard office PC. My local dentist recently received two new computers at the reception, each equipped with 8GB of RAM. They are very pleased with the upgrade from their previous Pentium models, as everything runs smoothly and applications and internet access are perfect.

He already has a desktop with Windows 7 and a Core 2 Quad processor. I plan to upgrade it with a new motherboard, RAM, and CPU. I still have a 500GB SSD, which should be sufficient. I wasn’t too confident about the Athlon Performance upgrade.

Push 16GB RAM, but 3000GB is sufficient. You might locate 2200GB for only a bit more though

Checked the current case and found no USB 3.0 ports, so I’m looking for a budget-friendly option with USB 3 support and a CD drive.
