Desk warping due to heavy PC load

Go to nearest shop that sells wood or 2x4. Ask if you can buy atleast two or three unused cut as tall as the space between the desk and shelf. High chance they'll just give you for free yer quite brave putting a heavy PC box on that kinda flimsy shelf without proper support under it. Bad planning, bad execution IMO. Like, geez... a good chunk of the PC's feet isn't even on the shelf there. Edited June 16, 2024 by Poinkachu Added more cautionary details

that's a monitor stand part of the desk. not designed for the weight of a pc. support or no support its too heavy for the mdf(wood). Sleep with one eye open.

In my mind, the MDF is a wood type that breaks easily, so it’s not ideal for a PC. OP, why place your PC there? Your monitor might prevent it, but it still feels quite different.

It should work well with sufficient backing underneath, but the PC's feet could scratch the MDF over time. Still, it isn't really a solid enough setup for such a heavy component.
