Hi everyone, I'm trying to run a switch outside for my Ethernet devices. I have a flex mini switch that could work, but it's not rated for extreme cold—it only handles temperatures between -5°C and 45°C. In my area, it can get down to 0°C or even lower. Can someone suggest if this switch would still function in such conditions? Any advice would be appreciated!

It might work, but you are obviously operating outside the design specs. You don't have much to loose by trying it. If it were me I'd just buy the ubiquiti NanoSwitch it already has an enclosure and is only $40. The ubiquiti switch flex is rated for your application at $99. I was going to recommend the NanoSwitch until I saw it was passive Poe which you probably don't want. Edited September 29, 2022 by Bdavis Passive POE
