Hey there, I’m starting to assemble my new PC for the first time. I’ve done some research on building it but have a challenge. I plan to use three SATA drives—one SSD and two HDDs. The issue is that both my motherboard and power supply only come with two SATA cables. I know I could buy more, but since the PSU is modular, I’m worried about compatibility problems if the cables aren’t set up correctly. I looked into some solutions like daisy chaining or splitters, but I’m not sure how to implement them properly. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. You can find the PSU and motherboard specs at the links below:

You really examined the PSU cables? Each one has several connectors. Plus, grab the data cables from any seller on Amazon—they’re inexpensive.

You can easily convert a Molex cable to SATA power adapters with minimal effort. Also, Dedayog mentioned that each cable features several connectors, not just one.

Thank you for bringing this up. I understand how confusing it can be when there are multiple connectors mentioned but only one cable specified.

You must purchase an additional SATA data cable if you don’t already own one.

The phrase warns that choosing Molex connections instead of SATA can result in losing all your data.
