Delta keep it or opt for 325a
Sure thing! I plan to keep the conversation going until I’m satisfied, which might mean ending up with a freelancer. The Aurora LN has been quite enjoyable, so it’ll be my backup option if things go wrong.
If you choose to acquire the Gladius @ rentaspoon and @ Wauthar, we’d become an intimidating presence! A trio of Gladiuses (?) accompanied by us would be terrifying! (Also, remember to receive 3 notifications about this post)
Yeah, I haven't play AC since the 8350 died, I intend on getting a 4590 or a 4460 soon but got to decide if I have a janky motherboard or the MSI krait so I can have SLI
I don’t own a Delta and have only flown it briefly during the Mustang promotion period... and I performed poorly with it. However, I do own a 325A, and after recent modifications, I’d say I struggle equally with it. The 325 offers the advantage of carrying missiles, but it has one fewer gun than the Delta. What I can confidently say from my Hornet experience is that Deltas are extremely difficult to hit, while the 325As are manageable even for skilled pilots. They fly like flies, especially when handled well. Their shape is longer and wider, making them hard to target effectively. Whenever I manage to get a clear shot or display, they’re easily defeated. With Deltas, success is only about 50/50—many shots miss because of their odd, compact design. If there’s a ship in the 300 series that gives me real trouble, it’s the 315p. Battling that aircraft in a Hornet, particularly when flown by an expert, can feel like a silly movie scene. Just as I think I’ve locked onto him, he keeps tapping me on the back and saying, “What’s up, Doc?” And they’re not shy about delivering a hit.
I’d love to trade in for a 315P, though I’m not sure what the key differences are. They definitely have a more powerful engine, but I’m having trouble figuring out the best build options and they feel quite unstable for me. I’ll hold onto it for a while, but it could end up being my go-to for weekend flights.
I’m really unsure about the exact distinction. On paper they don’t seem too different, but the 325 appears to be superior since it includes stock missiles. In practice though, they feel quite distinct—especially in terms of maneuverability. This is just my perspective from watching them, not from someone who’s flown either ship extensively. I’ve noticed that when engaging with them, 325s are much easier to target and eliminate compared to 315s. Even top players like Shirame rarely manage to hit them unless they’re lucky. I tend to stay in place until the respawn notification appears.
I noticed with the 315p it had superior cooling and a larger plant, allowing you to extend your Omni's range. I managed to eliminate a hornet player outside their attack zone. It seems tougher ships draw those who want to win at all costs. The 315p tends to be ignored, so only the better pilots operate them.
