They likely use both the M keys, and each has a similar indentation pattern on the left side.

I purchased a Dell precision motherboard 3620 along with some NVMe drives. It’s possible you obtained them at a lower price because the previous owner couldn’t get the drives to function either. Since the drives are NVMe, they won’t work on that specific board. This doesn’t mean they won’t work elsewhere—they just won’t in this one. You’ll need to decide whether it’s time for a different motherboard or if an M.2 drive would be better. Another idea is to use a PCI-e card that supports NVMe and connect it to the board, but you’ll still need an M.2 drive for booting. Take care and good luck.

I saved and reviewed the motherboard guide. It mentions an M.2 SSD Gen3x4 port. I’m unsure if this will assist with the issue, but it’s better to have some information than none at all.

Recently in my bios it displayed a 3GB entry without a label, but it wasn’t showing up in the drive manager.

It seems the NVME drive won't work with RAID and must be used in ACHI mode.
