I removed the screen from a Dell Inspiron 15 3511 since I didn’t want to buy a replacement. Now I can’t connect to Wi-Fi, and it seems the Wi-Fi card might be connected via the display. Should I get a new screen?

Sure, just reset the screen and let it operate normally as intended. There’s no necessity to devise an alternative solution when it functions correctly this way.

Your absence of a screen is very improbable to lead to a Wi-Fi issue

The service manual indicates that the two WiFi antenna cables must be reconnected or replaced with an aftermarket solution. Refer to Page 68 for further explanation on this requirement. On Page 14, the connection points to the Display assembly are clearly shown, emphasizing the need for proper setup.

You can assemble your own compatible antenna using this guide. If you've already cut the cable or prefer not to reuse the display setup, this kit lets you create a custom aftermarket solution. https://www.amazon.com/Bingfu-Antenna-Wi...B099R4V7HL

I should have made it clearer that the screen was damaged, which is why I took it out and the WLAN card came off. Should I just reinstall it now?

You mentioned not reading my posts, but I see you're asking about it. Did you have something else in mind?
