You recently purchased the Samsung 990Pro and set it up on your laptop 5520. When attempting to install Windows 11, the installer fails to display the disk information, though your BIOS confirms it is present.

Click the Windows icon in the bottom-left corner, select Disk Management. There, you’ll see your new volume listed. You can then proceed to create a new partition. Only after that will Windows recognize the drive!

I believe the choice referred to was "new spanned volume" or a similar term.

I'm not sure about the installation steps, but can you open the partition manager in Windows 11?

Using the Windows Media Creation Tool will automatically generate the partition during installation. You'll require a USB flash drive with a minimum of 8GB capacity. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/wind...c3b507420d
