You should be able to install software that helps transfer your operating system and files to a different storage device. Many options exist. Then restart and press F11 at startup to open the boot menu, choose your SSD as the main boot source. On your keyboard, press Windows+R, type diskmgmt.msc and press Enter. There you can format the drive and make any necessary changes.

I understand this situation, but your Windows setup is damaged and despite all fixes and troubleshooting attempts, it keeps failing. Many features stop working, and Defender becomes inaccessible. This is why I’m considering a fresh installation.

Based on the SSD capacity and the size of the data on the hard drive, you can format and configure the SSD as the main boot device and operating system. Then, move the non-app files from the hard drive to the SSD using the formatted drive. After that, transfer the contents back to the hard drive. You’ll need to reinstall your applications. There are alternative methods available.

You can preserve the format of your current HDD by compressing it into a ZIP file. It’s not overly complicated.

The most effective approach I see is to set up Windows on your SSD by using the disk management tool from my earlier post and formatting the drive. This will transform it into a basic storage device if you format it with NTFS, clearing any existing data so Windows can operate smoothly. Once ready, you can save files there and retrieve them easily.

Sure, I can help with that. For backups, you'll need documents, PDFs, PPT files, etc. Regarding video games like Witcher 3 and Assassins Creed 4, yes, you can reinstall them and transfer your save files to the correct folder. It should be straightforward.

Confirm the instructions are clear. Ensure files are copied to a USB drive before formatting the hard drive. Verify you can still retrieve data using Windows after formatting.

You're welcome! You can still reach the HDD and back up your saves, which is the most straightforward method to reformat and reinstall any games you wish. Appreciate your patience!
