Create a full backup of essential documents and perform a fresh installation of Windows 10 using an USB drive generated via the media creation utility. Remove every partition during setup and proceed with installing from a clean, unallocated area.

You’re highly likely correct. A clean installation of Windows is usually required to upgrade from 32-bit to 64-bit. After preparing your data, simply remove all partitions and start fresh.

To obtain a clean version, you must have 8GB of free space available for copying Windows onto a USB drive using the media tool.

You must use a USB drive with a minimum of 8GB capacity to generate a bootable Windows 10 installation.

You should ensure there is at least 8GB of available space on your device before proceeding to make the bootable USB drive.

We possess an external hard drive offering 1TB of space. It indicates we require 8GB of available space on the C drive, and Torbile is providing us with 8GB of free space on the C drive as previously discussed.

Use a tool such as Wiztree to identify which files are occupying the most space on the C drive. Have you already made a backup of all his files and removed them from the laptop?
