You're facing a common challenge when trying to stream with an older device. The speedtest results suggest your local network isn't delivering the expected performance, even though your main computer is fast. Since you can't use Wi-Fi due to distance or Ethernet isn't feasible, consider checking the powerline adapter's settings—some models allow adjusting bandwidth limits or prioritizing streaming traffic. Also, ensure the adapter is properly connected and that your router supports sufficient bandwidth for streaming. If possible, try a different adapter or upgrade to one with better performance for your setup.

Consider a superior Powerline adapter. Alternatively, a WiFi repeater could work, though it might introduce more delay and isn't necessarily beneficial.

I plan to revise the post. I’d rather avoid spending a lot on a new power adapter.

It depends on the exact distance from the router and any obstacles. You might consider using a DIY antenna to strengthen your laptop's Wi-Fi connection. For more details, I can reach out to @DEcobra11.

I'm calculating the distance from the router to the laptop considering four thick walls. It's a challenging task, especially with the weak wireless signal on the laptop, even during the night.

It's definitely a challenging situation, the ghetto antenna may not function here.
