I changed to Deepin Linux on my laptop. It runs on Debian, but I’m having trouble with tar.gz files. For instance, extracting Toon Town Rewritten works fine, but when I try to run it from the launcher, I get a pop-up asking if I want to run or open in terminal. Clicking run doesn’t start the game, and opening it with terminal just shows a text window without launching. Someone might have better advice. Link: https://www.deepin.org/en/

Yeah, I get it. I end up with the same outcomes. I realize this distribution isn't popular, so it's unlikely anyone will offer detailed assistance.
