Dedicated gaming setup for crystal clear 1080p video at smooth 60 frames per second
Hi everyone, I'm checking if an i5 10500 can handle streaming at 1080p 60fps with the Elgato HD60 Pro. The graphics card is an older HD 6670, but you mentioned CPU matters more. You have 16GB RAM and no overlays—should it be sufficient for a smooth stream?
The optimal method for streaming appears to be using NVENC with Nvidia RTX graphics cards, offering significantly better performance compared to CPU rendering based on personal experience, except for high-end models like the Ryzen 5900x. It should also function on an i5 processor.
I’m confident it should function, delivering 1080p at 60fps. High expectations are in place.
Processing video or streaming requires minimal CPU power. For a dedicated streamer, an i3 10100 with 8GB RAM works well, paired with quicksync; it should suffice. A GTX 1050 Ti is ideal if you have one. NVENC supports GTX 600 and higher models. For AMD users, check this list: https://github.com/obsproject/obs-amd-en...re-Support
