Hello everyone, previously I was considering the optimal method to upgrade my SSD. Now I’m evaluating whether it’s better to back up everything on my external hard drive and perform a fresh Windows installation onto the SSD, or keep the rest on the HDD. If I choose the latter, will I need to re-download drivers? I’m just checking to be sure. Thanks!

I favor a fresh setup since it removes any unnecessary files and old versions. It won’t introduce unexpected issues. You’ll need to download the new content.

Create a duplicate after configuring a fresh Windows setup and installing essential tools. For future clean installations, simply utilize the clone.

Clones must never be used unless necessary for retrieving data. Only proceed if you intend to extract information and perform a fresh installation afterward.
