Hello, I consistently experience significantly reduced frame rates when playing titles such as Rust, Fortnite, Apex Legends, and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, despite utilizing my system’s capabilities. Within Rust at its lowest configuration, I achieve approximately 40-50 frames per second; however, in Fortnite with settings minimized except for render distance, I reach 100 fps. Similarly, Apex Legends at medium settings provides an average of 60 frames per second, while Counter-Strike: Global Offensive on low settings delivers 100 fps. My hardware includes: an AMD Ryzen 5 1600 processor running at 3.2GHz with six cores, an MSI B350 PC MATE motherboard, 16GB of Team T-Force Night Hawk DDR4-3000 memory, a 500GB Western Digital Blue SSD, an EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 with 8GB of VRAM, a Cooler Master MasterBox 5 white case, a Corsair TXM Gold 550W power supply, and an ATX form factor. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Ensure your device drivers are current and run a malware scan with Malwarebytes. Are you observing unusually elevated activity in Task Manager?

All vehicle software is current, and what bandwidth (in megabytes) would be considered excessive data consumption?

My system contains several programs exceeding 10 gigabytes in size, including the Steam client bootstrapper, which currently downloads at a rate of 50.4 megabytes per second.

A substantial amount of memory—10 gigabytes—is being consumed. What’s responsible for this? Verify that no malicious software is the source of the issue.

My apologies, I intended to state 10 megabits per second. My storage is limited to under 1 gigabyte. I am so sorry for the confusion.

If you’ve recently installed driver updates that altered this functionality, revert to the earlier version. During gameplay, it’s advisable to shut down unnecessary applications consuming processor resources, as this can lead to performance delays.

It occurred prior to updating drivers, and I usually only run the game while actively playing.
