Hi everyone,
There seems to be a mismatch between the review and the specifications on MSI's official site. The fan type Aris mentioned about 15 months ago is DBB, but MSI states it should be FDB. This could raise some concerns, especially regarding the reliability of other components like caps and ICs. It might just be a typical process, though I wonder if any manufacturer could compromise parts after receiving positive feedback.

There have been many instances where hardware suppliers altered components over time. The latest notable example involved SSD makers exchanging controllers because of chip shortages. There might also have been cases where PSU producers modified parts after the initial release, especially since 80PLUS only needs certification for new models rather than individual SKUs. It’s unclear whether other certifications demand testing when a SKU changes or if manufacturers are indifferent. Changing fans seems unlikely to cause significant concerns.
