I experienced stable performance with my MSI 590 gaming Wi-Fi for an 11th gen i7. It remained active for a long time, only powering down after about 15 minutes and requiring a button press to resume. After upgrading to the ASUS ROG STRIX Z690-F GAMING WIFI with a 13th gen i7, the issue persists. The system doesn’t enter sleep mode automatically; it only does so when manually triggered. Disabling WOL helped temporarily but didn’t resolve the problem. I’m unsure if I missed any settings or if there’s a hardware limitation. The motherboard supports both PCIe SSDs and M.2 drives, yet it fails to recognize the M.2 slot. This drive is confirmed to work with another MSI board, so the issue might lie in the configuration or driver setup. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Have you saved your Windows setup? Or did you start from scratch?

At first I kept it, but to try and resolve the issue I performed a fresh installation. I also made sure the BIOS was updated to the most recent version.
