I often hear positive things about Seasonic PSU's online... I bought one (Seasonic Focus PX 550) and it worked for three months before failing, which might mean some parts got damaged. My Corsair vs550 stayed functional for several years without any problems. Don't take everything at face value.

Sorry to hear about your issues, but I've been operating 9 machines across different Seasonic models for over five years without any problems. Not everything works perfectly.

Hey there,
A single failure doesn't always mean a problem with the brand or any products. Most items have a failure rate, which applies to all hardware. Usually these rates are quite low, around 0.0001 per unit (just an example).
You might have experienced some issues, but it's likely covered under RMA. The replacement should probably work as expected.
Seasonic usually produces solid power supplies. They've had a few that didn't perform well, but overall they're a reputable company with reliable components.
Even if your specific model lasted longer in certain setups, it's still of low quality and only fits office equipment—not gaming rigs.
Other brands vary, so it's important to research. Understanding your needs helps you choose the right PSU for your build.

This reminds me a lot. Back then, some folks here were making sure the Corsair PSUs were flawless while everything else seemed shaky—like Seasonic or SuperFlower too. I think they were eventually removed from the forum.
