I recently experimented with overclocking my 3900x using an ASUS X570 TUF Mobo, and after clearing the CMOS, the motherboard stopped responding—no lights, no audio, no beeping. I tried the same setup on a B550 board and it functioned properly there. Anyone have advice before purchasing a new board? If not, would you mind offering a free used X570 at my expense for shipping?
The motherboard failed immediately after a CMOS reset. I've tested various batteries, removed it for ten minutes, and kept the power button pressed to verify power was cleared.
Does the jumper remain attached to the pins? Remove it. The motherboard can't start up without it.
