I was playing some games with friends last night and saw my frames slow down. I checked Task Manager and noticed the core clocks dropping to around 500mhz. Then I opened HWmonitor, which confirmed the CPU was at 95°C and throttling. I turned it off and let it cool for a while. After that, I went to replace the thermal paste just in case. When I restarted, the BIOS showed 75°C+, so I had to reinstall the thermal paste. Now I’m wondering if the pump is truly failing, even though it reported correct RPM to ICUE. Should I try anything else before deciding to buy a new cooler?

75c in BIOS seems suspicious, might indicate the AIO is malfunctioning. The liquid level could be insufficient. How long have you been operating it?

It feels like it’s almost seven years ago now, which makes me wonder if it was already being considered for removal.
