Hello. I placed an order for the MSI B450m Mortar Max with an AMD Ryzen 5 3600x and am having trouble locating compatible RGB-enabled RAM. I need 2x8GB DIMMs at 3600MHz CAS 16 or higher, up to 17. Another option is 2x8GB DIMMs at 3200MHz CAS 14 or higher, up to 15. Most listings I found at a reasonable price for 3600MHz models—Crucial, Ballistix, Corsair, HyperX—don’t include the RAM I need. The supported memory section on my motherboard is limited and only shows 3200MHz options. Could you suggest alternatives under 120 Euro/USD? I’m surprised it’s so difficult to find DDR4 here.

Choose your area and input the components, then easily locate the RAM kit you need.

Thank you for your response. Your doubts are clear. The PCPartPicker shows some dimmers as compatible, but the MSI list doesn’t include this code. That means compatibility isn’t confirmed. Please double-check your understanding.

Memory support has changed significantly. Early Ryzen models needed compatible RAM, but now I can use any kit from 3200MHz up to 3600MHz CL16 or less on my X470 motherboard with the latest BIOS.
