It was the same question I had before, except I got the Ryzen 5 2600 instead of something else. The website's "O.C." made me doubt it. Plus, I don’t like overclocking and was in a rush, so I went with the cheapest 2666MHz option. A few days later I watched a video mentioning a massive boost to 2900Mhz or more. Thanks for getting into that discussion!

Performance improves by 6-7 to 8 percent between 3200 and 3600, yet it doesn’t justify upgrading your current gear for a new one.

You can skip those instructions. RAM will operate at the standard 2133 unless you adjust the frequency in BIOS to a different value. Whether you choose 2666 or 3200, you must manually set it (or turn on XMP). Don't rely on ASUS recommendations—opt for the 3200 kit and enable XMP in BIOS.

I also use a 2666MHz Corsair Vengeance LED setup with my 3700X. It’s easy to push it overclock using the Ryzen DRAM Calculator, and it stays steady at 3333MHz—no noticeable gap compared to higher-end kits. This works on an X370 board, and I’m confident yours can reach at least 3000MHz.
