DCOM ERROR 10001
Hi there, I'm having trouble opening "Sea of Thieves" on my laptop. It only shows the first logo and stays on the desktop. I've been playing the game for six months now and tried several fixes:
- Uninstalled and reinstalled the game
- Performed a Windows reinstall repair while keeping my data
- Removed two users (three had their own copies, so I was left with just two)
- Ran "wsreset", restarted the laptop, and reinstalled the game
- Noticed the game is attempting to open at 1600x900 resolution, but the laptop is set to 1920x1080
I checked the Event Viewer and saw an error message about DCOM access being denied.
It seems like I'm stuck and need some guidance on what to do next. Someone could help me figure out how to resolve this.
