I set up DaVinci Resolve 15 on Ubuntu using a recent tutorial from Gear Seekers. I had to tweak some commands to match the file names on my machine, but overall it worked as expected. The installation completed without issues, though I couldn’t launch it. All other programs functioned normally, except for Resolve. Do you think there was something specific I missed or need to try again?

Search for a Linux user here. Most are Windows-focused. You might want to post in a Linux forum.

I’m done with Microsoft’s hype, still using it for gaming only.

I faced comparable problems when attempting to install on Fedora, but it didn't work. Check the Level1Techs forums for help.

Just got back to the forum. It worked if you know what you're doing. Had to install the Nvidia drivers instead of the ones Ubuntu adds automatically.

For a hybrid laptop, you must use an NVIDIA card. Intel is not compatible. Consider using CUDA if needed. Try executing the program from the command line to check for detailed output.
