I don't object to that feeling, but it also relies heavily on the specifics of what the 'loan' meant and whether the individual had any expectations regarding it. In summary, I fully support this view concerning whether the loan has been addressed before; we could reasonably assume they would want their device functioning as it was before lending it... avoiding the need to search through files and folders for keys, passwords, or similar details.

Start menu ---run---type %temp%
Start menu ---run---type "temp"
These folders contain unnecessary files that can be discarded. Ensure your browser is closed to prevent issues where files remain active due to the open browser window.

For those familiar with the process, it's suggested to use Macrium or a similar tool to copy the drive to an external USB, ideally ensuring only one drive is present. Before returning, wipe the drive using a built-in BIOS utility such as Secure Erase or an external program. After that, restore the original image. Since the person isn't sure about their actions, the most advisable option is to avoid any tasks or website visits that could be discovered.
