Dark Souls Remastered is frozen on the save verification screen.
I recently installed the game, and upon startup, it remains at the saving check screen for approximately ten minutes before displaying an insufficient storage error and repeating the process. I have attempted the following solutions: reinstalling repeatedly on various drives, manually creating the save folder as it is not automatically generated, running the game as an administrator, disabling read-only attributes on all folders associated with the game, enabling folder protection and adding an exception for the game followed by a system restart, disabling folder protection and restarting, creating firewall exceptions, fully disabling the firewall and antivirus software. I have spent an entire day diligently troubleshooting this issue and have exhausted all potential solutions, both through personal experimentation and online research. I am seeking assistance from others as this problem has persisted since the game's release on Steam, and solutions posted in their message boards have been ineffective for me.
I have approximately 1.5 terabytes of free space across both hard drives. I intended to list this, but was assuming it would be understood that I had checked.
We must consider all possibilities, ignoring readily apparent details. Has the game file or folder been relocated from one place to another?
