Recently, I've observed visual problems with textures appearing distorted in several games. The surfaces are frequently replaced by solid black squares, rendering them invisible. I’ve encountered this issue predominantly in games such as ROBLOX and Zula, while Minecraft and CS: WaRzOnE operate without problems. This issue began approximately four to five months ago and initially didn't concern me much, but it has become increasingly irritating. I’ve included an image for reference: https://ibb.co/54rxRVC My graphics card is an ATI RADEON x700/x550, and I have 3GB of RAM with an AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5200+ running at 2.61Ghz. My operating system is 32-bit, and “dxdiag” indicates I have DirectX 11 compatibility, though my GPU only supports DirectX 9. Could someone offer assistance?

That’s a remarkably old graphics card. I possess an X850PRO gathering dust in my basement. However, the disappointing news for you is that this indicates a definite decline in its performance. PERHAPS if you remove the heatsink and apply fresh thermal adhesive, it might operate at a reasonable temperature to mitigate these problems temporarily, although it’s nearing the end of its lifespan.

Essentially, the problem seems to be related to overheating. Also, it’s a very old computer, and I am anticipating acquiring a replacement PC in the near future.

It’s probably a problem with the graphics card, though its age and resulting heat are also contributing factors. Maintaining better cooling could extend its lifespan before complete failure.
