It'll work perfectly. @Beerzerker and I have cleaned motherboards in the dishwasher. Following a thorough process always leads to a clean, functional board. Make sure it's completely dry before sharing. A quick wipe with alcohol would be wise if it appears dirty. GL!

We have confirmed it functions well with boards. Regarding your CPU, it should perform adequately. You might place it in direct sunlight to warm it up and remove any moisture inside. For this season in the US, positioning it outdoors under the sun would be perfect, allowing it to become warm enough for drying. It should stay out for a few hours, but avoid placing it in shaded areas immediately after setting it. I don't recommend using external heating methods; instead, let it sit outside in direct sunlight so it stays warm but not excessively hot. If the lid seal is still intact (which it should be), there should be no moisture inside. If it was previously opened, that could be an issue. Reopening the lid and exposing it to air—without heating—will help it dry. Placing a small fan nearby overnight can also assist the process.
