Hi forum
Can I use one dual(split) 6+2 PCIE cable and one single 6+2 PCIE cable for my GPU?
I only have two single 6+2 PCIE cables to use and a lot of dual(split) cables.
I have a Corsair RM1000i in multirail setup.
The Sapphire Nitro+ has a higher TDP of 420 W instead of the usual 355 W.
Thanks

It is generally advised to employ three 3-pin PCIe power cables, though a high-quality splitter can also function adequately.

If this is your card, you can connect it using two separate 8-pin stems from the PSU. The cables with the daisy-chained design can still work, though the pigtails won’t be used. Please refer to these guidelines:
https://www.silverstonetek.com/en/tech-t...connection
https://file.thermaltake.com/file/qig/Co...GPU_en.pdf
https://www.antec.com/press-block/39/Pow...-PCI-E-Use
For clarity, please note the age of your PSU. If you’re unsure, showing pictures of your cables will greatly assist us.
A general rule is: if your PSU doesn’t have the right connectors for your build, you either have the incorrect PSU or the wrong components for it.

Hi Lutfij
My PSU is 6½ years old and has many connectors (check the link):
https://www.techpowerup.com/review/corsa...00i/3.html
I'm using cables from this kit:
https://www.corsair.com/us/en/p/pc-...yA...eS1TQkxHX2
My PC specs:
https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/7CnpzP
I could easily purchase more single cables, but it would be great if I could adapt them to what I already have.

You can indeed utilize two standard single 6+2 cables and connect them to a single 6+2 connector found in the split cable.
