Have you used this before? Many customers on Amazon mention short-range performance, which makes me doubt it. It seems good on paper, but real-world results depend on experience. What are your thoughts on other D-Link devices?

All devices face the same issue, often called "walls." It wouldn't be wise to invest heavily in a router; adding a second unit like a range extender would make a big difference. This simple upgrade let me connect to Wi-Fi outside the house even though the router was on the other side. I've tried and tested the TP-Link model you mentioned. No prior experience with D-Link, but it worked well for me.

I previously owned a router from them. Now I won’t do it again. The firmware really pushed me to replace it, so I had to install DDWRT just to get it working properly.

I sensed it too. It reminds me of tp-Link, actually. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, but I’m deciding to skip this despite the current price of around 30% on Amazon. Likely there’s a better reason.
