Hi
I just reinstalled Cyberpunk to try it out on my 6900XT, which I recently bought. I adjusted all the settings and enabled ray tracing, and it ran smoothly for about five minutes. Then it froze, the AMD driver crashed, and the card emitted a loud coil whine. I believe the whine isn’t the main issue, but after the crash in Cyberpunk, my GPU would stutter and crash consistently across different games—from Fall Guys to FS2020. This recurring GPU instability only disappears when I restart the PC.

I thought it might be due to my undervoltage/OC settings, but even reverting them back to default doesn’t fix the problem in Cyberpunk. It’s affecting the drivers and GPU afterward. I’m using the optional 21.7.2 drivers, but I don’t see this level of ongoing instability in any other game except Cyberpunk.

Anyone else on AMD experience similar issues?

I've noticed several updates recently on Steam, CDProjekt Red, and other forums discussing problems with the RX 6000 regarding ray tracing. Many users are experiencing crashes and strange visual glitches that disappear when ray tracing is turned off. It might be related to a driver issue.

Use DDU (display driver uninstaller) to reinstall the card for a new driver setup, this could assist

Turning off ray tracing was the solution. It didn't fix the issue no matter what I tried. Disappointing because it looked good.
