Consider setting up a spigot server with Forge client-side modifications. It performs well even when using my own version.

They remain available even with the mods installed. All participants will continue to view them on the server as long as both possess the mods. I appreciate your understanding.

Client-side forge modifications work just like normal ones, even when everyone uses the same changes. You’re asking whether a forge server still needs client-side mods if all players are on the same version.

Do you have a particular modpack installed? Often the creator provides a download with all components packaged, so simply extract the files and start the server.
