Hello everyone, I've been facing a cursor lag problem for a few months now. After buying a Logitech PRO X Superlight, I'm certain the mouse isn't the cause. Occasionally, at random spots on my screen, the cursor stutters or lags, but my PC still runs smoothly. My system specs include an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X with 16 GB RAM, 64-bit Windows 10 Home, a 3080Ti processor, 750W PSU, an MSI B550 drive with 1TB NVMe at about 70% use, plus a 1TB SSD and an 8TB HDD.

You don’t necessarily need a thumb drive. There are other ways to update the BIOS, such as using a computer connected via USB or following manufacturer instructions.

You can verify the BIOS version with tools like CPU-Z, HWInfo64, Aida64, Speccy or similar, or by directly reading the BIOS information.

I reviewed the BIOS information from 2021 and plan to install it once my USB drive arrives. While waiting, here are some alternatives you could try:

Avoid using a flash drive. Place the bios files in the root of a drive or partition (not inside a folder). Use the flash tool in the Bios to find them. The stuttering you feel is due to a USB issue, which has been resolved.

I refreshed the bios and observed a significant enhancement, though occasional problems persist. I’m currently upgrading to Windows 11, not to fix the issue, but just to note it’s occurring in the background.

My profile was refreshed to version A.B0 - AMD AGESA ComboAM4v 2PI 1.2.0.7. The release occurred on 20220811. Mouse lag has decreased but can still be as problematic as before after the update.
