Hello! Your thoughts on Windows 8.1 are worth noting. Some say it offers better performance and might be bundled with Windows 10 when it launches in September 2015. The build you’re looking at uses an i5-4460, MSI Z97 PC MATE ATX, and other components that fit a typical setup. There are rumors about a possible free Windows 10 upgrade for users of Windows 8.1 around that time. If you're okay with the interface, it could be a good option.

I rarely encounter the Modern UI and it performs slightly better.

8.1 works better. The whole "tile" idea is unnecessary. You interact with the desktop just like any other Windows app. Treat the entire tile concept as a full-screen strange start menu that overlays the desktop rather than covering it.

I personally don’t face issues with W8, yet with 8.1 the interface disappears and you receive a complimentary upgrade to W10
