Hello, I've been using AC Origins for some time now. At high settings, the game runs smoothly at 120 fps, but occasionally it freezes and the GPU usage drops to zero for a brief moment, causing it to stop completely for half a second. My system specs are an RTX 4060, i5-10400i, 9400, 16 GB RAM. Could you suggest any solutions?

The answer may improve with a stronger processor. In most scenarios where GPU utilization stays under 100%, your performance will depend on CPU speed or memory bandwidth. CPU might also face constraints due to slow RAM or insufficient dual-channel support.

Also overlook OSD's ability to track power consumption; if present, power sensors may lead to performance issues.

Your CPU supports only six threads. Denuvo DRM tends to struggle with fewer than eight threads, which is why games are designed to run smoothly with eight or more threads today. This often leads to stutters because the system has to pause while other tasks wait for their turn on a thread already in use. It's a straightforward issue—basically, the hardware limitations cause performance drops. Unfortunately, your setup doesn’t offer a reasonable upgrade path left. Even the relatively costly options are wearing thin over time. You can easily spot this by checking the CPU’s per-core usage; you’ll notice some threads hitting 100% and causing frequent stutters.

Yes, an i5-12400 could work well depending on your needs.

You need to turn them on first. This means they aren't activated in the OSDs yet.

You prefer an AMD CPU because you'll also need to update the motherboard and RAM when upgrading.

Looking for an AMD alternative since Intel isn't widely available there. The CPU might help but won't fully replace Intel's performance.
