Hello, I've been a fan of PC theory for some time now, but I've finally decided to assemble my own system. Here are the details: CPU – Intel Core i7-13700K at 3.4 GHz with 16 cores, Thermalright contact frame, CPU cooler from Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE ARGB, motherboard from ASRock Z690 PG Velocita ATX LGA1700, RAM – G.Skill Ripjaws S5 64 GB (2 x 32 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30, storage – Western Digital Black SN850X 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVMe, solid state drive – Western Digital Black SN850X 2 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVMe, graphics card – PNY RTX A-Series RTX A4500 20 GB, case from Antec DP503 ATX Mid Tower, power supply – Thermaltake Toughpower GF3 TT Premium 850 W (80+ Gold certified), fan – ARCTIC P12 PST 56.3 CFM 120 mm 5-pack.

After some testing, I adjusted the RAM to 5600 CL28 which resolved my performance issues and passed memtest86 and Windows memory checks. The main challenge was working on SolidWorks; even simple tasks like creating a rectangle lagged, especially with SmartDimensions. My ThinkPad P53s is decent for small to medium projects but not as fast as expected. Var and SolidWorks forums haven’t offered much help so far. Any SolidWorks users who’ve dealt with similar problems? Could you assist?

Check if it's connected to the motherboard or the graphics card.

It's connected to the GPU. I have three monitors all linked to it. The main screen is configured for 1440p at 144Hz.

Consider starting with simple adjustments: Disable integrated graphics and check the results using Device Manager under display adapters or by accessing the BIOS settings.

Attempted without success; possibly running Windows 11 23H2. My laptop is 22H2 and functions properly.
